Due to the fact this is true damage and is inflicted to all characters, unless your party can shield/tank most of the damage, you will wipe yourself alongside the enemies most of the time.
Even if you can survive the initial burst, make sure you can mitigate the effects of Irradiate which will drain 5 mana or reduce the max hp if there is no mana left
