An Average Level Type that learns FireTailWhip, a Magic Level Type that learns FieryTeleport, or a Support Level Type that learns Protect Note that only Fire Cats and Lava Frogs can access the Magic Type, while only Lavorms can access the Support Type.
Their stats make them powerful all rounders, and since they can be evolved from three different branches the skills that a Fire Snake can end up with vary widely. Regardless of the skills they learn however, their passive abilities make them masters of Burn stacking, something to keep in mind when choosing their evolution paths.
