Furthermore its advised to not evolve them in the early game, as with low genes, they don't provide a large enough mana pool. They are good support once the druid unlocks lightning storm skill, as druid needs boosts from large amounts of mana herbs or blue fruit to use that skill consistently.

Furthermore its advised to not evolve them in the early game, as they don't provide a large enough mana pool with low genes. However if you raise one properly, there's no better mana battery to support your casters with high cost spells.
