The boss encounter comes with 3 mushroom enemies. When not engaged the boss uses his skills, when engaged it's rng whether he default attacks or uses a skill, spore storm seems to have a priority. It should be noted, that bosses are much stronger than regular enemies and can easily 2 tap your units. This boss passive scales in severity, it either can be mostly ignored or it's your worst nightmare. The general battle strategy is a race against time, you must clear all the mushrooms as fast as possible, while the boss spawns in more. Failure to do so results in a cascade of more mushrooms, each mushroom heals every other mushroom, including the boss, deals damage and increases your lust. This cycle repeats every turn until your entire party is lust locked every turn, slowly dying from the spores and poison or gets smashed by the boss. Multi hit or map wide skills are a must, even if you're clearly stronger than the boss. If you can't kill it in one turn, most likely the tide will swiftly turn and you'll be decimated. It is also recommended to use creatures as they won't be as effected by the boss and their minions' ability to kill you by simply existing.

Upon defeat the boss drops mushroom essence and some special armor. Upon the first defeat you also unlock the mushroom farm, a cheap house upgrade that provides lots of food. Also, it should be noted, that any boss fusion or offspring loose the giant trait, so if you wish to obtain a boss in all its glory you need to capture them. The boss itself has questionable use as a unit. It can pretty much solo the game, but it will also cause harm to your party members and the MC with its passive and skills.
