During combat, characters can be inflicted temporary status effects, which alter their stats for a number of turns. The duration of the effect appears as a number in the status icon. Statuses are typically inflicted by attacks, spells, or terrain

Status Effects

Armored
  • Armor +2
Bleeding
  • -2 life each turn
  • Removed by any sort of life restoration
  • If portal has Fatal combat modifier, can't be stopped naturally
Blinded
  • Speed -1
  • Armor -5
  • Can't engage enemies in combat
  • If player has Illusionary essence, enemy magic strength decreased by 50%
Burned
  • Take (remaining duration) true dmg each turn
    • If character is Giant they take maximum 5 damage
  • If Everflame essence is present, effect doesn't decay
  • If DarkFlames passive is present and enemy is cursed, effect doesn't decay
  • Can be affected by water tiles, rainy weather, some traits.
    • If Scalding essence is present, it works even on water tiles and is unaffected by rain.
Cursed
  • Strength -30%
  • Armor -3
  • LRes -3
  • If Vengeful portal modifier is present, increase strength and magic by 50% instead
  • If Fear essence is present, enemy strength is decreased by -50% instead.
  • If Shadow Threat essence is present, allies strength, magic and armor is decreased by -100%
  • If DarkFlames passive is present and enemy is cursed, effect doesn't decay
Defending
  • HP damage received reduced by 50%.
  • Armor ignoring damage is not affected (True dmg)
Egg
  • When a character with the Egg passive (Phoenix) dies, it turns into an egg.
  • The egg hatches (revives) within X turns.
  • If combat ends earlier, the egg hatches as well
Encased
  • Strength -1000%
  • Attacking is disabled
Enlightened
  • LRes +10
  • Magic +3
  • Strength -3
  • Various bonuses for using or being targeted by light based attacks (can be seen on skills that are affected)
  • If LightMastery essence is present, also increases allies LDmg by +100% and doesn't decrease strength
Entangled
  • Speed -5
  • Can't gain more than 1 AP per turn
  • If playing as Druid and player has 4 soul fragments active:
    • Armor -5
    • LRes -5
  • If ForestsGrasp (Life Root) passive is present, additional effects apply (See Passive)
Enticed
  • LRes -3
  • AI will prioritize fucking nearby presenting characters before other actions
  • If LustFul essence is present, increases LDmg by +50% (can be stacked with LustGain)
Exhausted
  • Started battle at 0 stamina
  • Can't gain more than 1 AP at the start of a turn
  • Strength, Magic and LDmg -50%
  • Speed and Armor -2
  • LRes +5
Firecoated
  • Attacks increase burnvalue of the target by 3
Focused
  • LRes +5
    • If FocusStrength essence is present, also increase magic by 25%
    • If FocusMagic essence is present, also increase strength by 25%
    • If FocusArmor essence is present, also increase armor by 3
  • AP regeneration isn't affected by enemy engagement
Frozen
  • Armor +5
  • Can't act for the duration
    • (Duration gets lowered at the start of a turn)
GrassTrail
  • Turns walked tiles into grass
HardenedSkin
  • Armor +4
    • If PowerArmor essence is present, also gain strength equal to received armor
  • Immune to radiation (doesn't remove current radiation)
  • If ChitinStrikes passive is present, Insects additionally get +40% strength
Haste
  • Speed +3
HighMorale
  • Strength +25%
  • Magic +25%
  • LDmg +25%
  • Speed +1
Immune
  • Can't gain any new status effects
Infected
  • If character is not Slime: -3hp /turn
  • If character is Slime: +3hp/turn
  • On death explode and infect all surrounding characters (+2 duration)
Invulnerable
  • Character can't take any damage
LavaTrail
  • Turns walked tiles into lava
LowMorale
  • LRes -3
  • Str/Magic/LDmg -25%
  • Speed -1
LustGain
  • Increases lust by 3each turn
  • Affected by LRes
  • If LustFul essence is present, increases LDmg by +50% (can be stacked with Entice)
Magic
  • Increases magic by (duration * 10)%
MagicBuff
  • Magic +50%
  • If playing as Devy, allies also gain +5 speed and +2 armor
Poison
  • Lose 10% of max hp each turn. (ignores armor)
    • If Corrosive portal modifier is present, lose 20% of max hp instead.
  • You can die from this
  • If Corrosion essence is present, enemy armor is reduced by -5
  • If Lizard_2 essence is present, enemy speed is reduced by -3
  • If SeepingPoison passive is present, enemies on water receive doubled poison dmg
  • If LizardMastery essence is present, effect lasts forever
PoisonCoated
  • Attacks poison the target for 3 turns
Power
  • Increases strength by (duration * 10)%
Presenting
  • Nearby enticed (or max lust) enemies will fuck this character instead of doing anything else
Radiation
  • -5 mana each turn
  • Excess loss permanently lowers max hp instead
  • Countered by HardenedSkin and RadiationImmunity
Regeneration
  • Restore 10% of your max hp each turn (min 2)
  • At the end of combat, the remaining effect still heals
  • If NatureBound portal modifier is present, also gain +5 armor
  • If DefensiveHealing is present, allies gain +3 armor for duration
Replenishing
  • Restore 10% of your max mana each turn
  • At the end of combat, the remaining effect still apllies
ShadowForm
  • Attacks apply curse for 3 turns
  • Speed +4
  • Magic +20%
  • Strength is reduced to 1
  • Character cant be engaged in combat
  • No penalty for being outside shadow
  • All damage is taken in mana instead, if possible (after armor reduction)
  • Drains 2 mana each turn outside of shadow (ends if not possible)
  • If ShadowBlessing essence is present, allies gain +5 armor
  • If Materialization essence is present, allies have no strength penalty
  • If ShadowMastery essence is present, effect lasts forever on allies and upkeep is halved
  • Shadow's unique Hole Worm "Pet", is affected by ShadowMeld
ShadowTrail
  • Turns walked tiles into shadow
Shield
  • Character can't take any damage
  • If MagicShield essence is present, allies also increase magic by +50%
SlimeTrail
  • Turns walked tiles into slime
  • If TanidMastery is present, effect has increased radius
Slow
  • Speed -2
  • If Brittle portal modifier is present, also decrease armor by -10
Soaked
  • Applied when a character starts or ends a turn in water
  • Strength/Magic -30%.
  • Armor -2
Spore
  • If Fungal:
    • Character spawns an allied spore (lvl based on effect duration) when defeated
      • Spore will share lvType and have access to it's first skill
    • Duration is reduced by 1 each turn.
  • If not Fungal:
    • Character takes dmg based on effect duration each turn
    • Character spawns an enemy spore (lvl based on effect duration) when defeated
      • Spore will share lvType and have access to it's first skill
    • Duration is reduced by 50% each turn.
StrengthBuff
  • Strength +50%
Stunned
  • Can't act
StunResistant
  • Immune to further stun efects
Transformed
  • This character is transformed and will turn back to it's original form when the duration runs out (or the battle ends)
Vulnerable
  • Take +50% damage from all sources
Weakened
  • Strength -40%
Lust 50%
  • This character is at 50%+ lust
  • Damage taken is increased by 50%
  • Attack damage dealt is reduced by 50%
  • Mana costs for spells are doubled
  • If lust is removed, the maximum lust increases for the remaining battle
Lust 100%
  • This character is at maximum lust
  • Can only use actions "fuck" and "masturbate"
  • If lust is removed, the maximum lust increases for the remaining battle
  • Damage taken is increased by 50%
