Town NPCs are special in various ways

  • they have Relation and Lewdness stats
  • MC can interact with them in town, depending on their schedules
  • You can raise relations up to 50 by gifting them money (3 point per 100g when below 30, 1 per 100 afterwards 30)
  • A number of NPCs accept an infinite amount of characters meeting a certain requirement as a task. You can recruit those in the wilds, summon as spirits, or breed. Breeding with a bloodline trait is probably the best option.
  • recruiting them requires 80+ relations
  • lewdness can be raised by new sexual interactions while dating (max +4/date, 2 increases per date and if they are drunk then the increase is double, so instead of +1,+1 we get +2,+2)
  • they are immortal. Death/injury will instead reduce their relations by 50, kicking them out of your party (Which is generally a lot more of a setback then an injury, and thus a severe combat disadvantage. Fortunately, they are mostly the "stay home, raise kids" type, so you wouldn't want them in your combat party in the first place.)
  • you need to raise relations to 80+ again if you wish to recruit an NPC injured that way
  • they have a unique inheritable trait not available anywhere else (Aila excluded)
  • they have unique quests related to their occupation (and main function)
  • they offer a variety of services in town (up to their daily Actions capacity)
  • MC gains a special combination skill upon maxing their relationship
  • MC with a partner advantage can grab one town NPC from the get go. Doing so also sets their relationship stat to 100. Recommended choices would be: Aila (for making the training free, instead of 2x300g per day, which is not easy to fork up in early game), Lumira (just because recruiting her the normal way is always some kind of a sacrifice), or Mya (not easy to recruit, yet relatively useful)
Lumira (female Mermaid x Lymean)
Unique trait: Gills - can breathe underwater (access to water portals and deep water biomes)
Unique MC skill: Water recall - teleports Lumira to MC, shields her and turns adjacent tiles to water

Relationship +1 for each item bought in her shop (no cap)
Quest: spend gold in her shop, including restocking Tasks:

  • Help: You lose 20 stamina on MC, and 3 hours, you gain 100g and 2 relation point (no cap) (total time wasted is 27 hours per 10 points)
  • Offer seal: ??? (probably similar to other character give-aways, except you can't mass-produce seals)

Notes:

  • Gifting her gold gives you more relations per gold than buying her junk. But buying her junk also counts towards her "quest" progress.
  • However her quest itself is also a colossal waste of gold.
  • She is both the least useful and the most troublesome town NPC to recruit (the entire list of things you can do to recruit her consist solely of wasteful actions, except maybe buying mana potions for when you're exploring portals with a party teleport, or buying nets if you have no tamers yet).
Sylvie (female Human x Beast)
Unique trait: Unstable - species is a random basic species for breeding purposes
Unique MC skill: Conduit - removes all ailments and buffs from Sylvie, and copies them to all adjacent units

Relationship + for each claimed portal quest rewards(5 for exploration, 5 for battles)
Quest: claim portal quest rewards
Tasks: None. Notes:

  • As an impure species, she is not eligible for Rituals
  • She comes with a lot of skills and quirks, most of them not inheritable.
  • Her main use is in breeding a versatile selection of high level characters. (mostly useful for rituals)
  • She's first or second easiest town NPCs to recruit.
Flora (small female Plant x Succubus)
Unique trait: Draining - drains 20% MP from units she fucks in battles
Unique MC skill: Magic Pheromones - Flora deals (her LDmg + MC's magic) Lust damage to all adjacent units

Relationship + for whoring out MC (Flora's tasks)
Quest: satisfy brothel guests (new unique NPC for 1000+ guests), excluding MC's clients
Tasks: Give away a character with lust gene 5+. Lose the character, gain 5 relation points (no cap), and level-based gold. Notes:

  • starts out as a Fetish sex master (with Godly potential)
  • If you don't want to waste time on recruiting her, give her a harem of lusty characters.
Castalia (futa Centaur x Lymean)
Unique trait: Royal - brothel value +25%
Unique MC skill: Lustburst - deals (current Lust/2) damage to adjacent units. Resets Castalia's lust to 0.

Relationship + for submiting new species to the Library
Quest: submit new species to the Library
Task: Give away a character with mana gene 5+ and Intelligent trait. Lose the character, gain 5 relation points (no cap), and level-based gold. Notes:

  • Castalia is the only Unicorn without Charge movement
  • Her reputation is harder to raise then Aila's

Aila (male Centaur x Centaur)
Trait: Savage - Strength +25%, armor +1, no skills, mana set to 0
Aila is an Arena champion (brothel value +25% for the character and her Prestigious offsprings)
Unique MC skill: Overwhelming - Aila gains StrengthBuff and Focused (2 turns)

Relationship + for winning Arena battles
Quest: win Arena battles
Task: Give away a character with str gene 4+ and Strong trait. Lose the character, gain 5 relation points (no cap), and level-based gold. Notes:

  • Aila's stats may vary, as she starts out at max level. She dons a 2nd armor instead of an accessory.
  • Recruiting Aila (or rather not recruiting itself, but the associated relationship changes) is mostly useful to make the training free.
  • He's first or second easiest town NPCs to recruit.
Mya (female Centaur x Succubus)
Unique trait: Producer - doubles daily milk/semen production
Unique MC skill: Replenish - Drains Mya's mana, gain twice the amount, and restores 2 AP.

Relationship + for completing Tavern requests, and gifting Mya a Futa potion (once).
Quest: fill Tavern requests Task: You lose 30 stamina on MC, and 2 hours, you gain 50g and 2 relation point (no cap) (total time wasted is 28 hours per 10 points) Notes:

  • Recruiting her is mostly done for the milk, but she does make a decent combat support character for your MC.
  • It takes a long time to recruit her via just the tavern requests, working for her is a waste of your time, and unlike Lumira you can't just buy the ground from under her once you strike it rich.
  • If you got the Partner starting advantage and don't know what to do with it consider taking Mya just because she's normally the last town NPC recruit.
