WARNING: When facing off with this bosses summons the wisps, it is vital to kill/disable them before they can move. With the exclusion of Evolution, the wisp default attack will PERMANENTLY lower the targets mana. Evolution can restore herself by transforming, otherwise there is no way of regaining the lost stats.

The boss encounter comes with several Wisp enemies. Upon entering combat every wisp will have a shield that will go away on the 3rd turn. The boss itself summons more wisps, whenever she gets the chance and uses default attacks. However, it should be noted, that bosses are much stronger, than regular enemies and can easily 2 tap your units. She has a difficult to deal with passive, that makes her flee from engagements, while you're swarmed by wisps. It is highly recommended to raise her lust above 50%, to deal more and receive less damage. The general strategy is to retreat from the wisp swarm, as they will damage your mana stats, or send in a tank that doesn't normally depend on mana. If you're playing as evolution you can be the said tank. It is not recommended to use protection skills or any buffs for that matter, because the wisps will cleanse them off. Technically you could also cleanse the wisp shields, but you can't kill them all on the first turn. Another thing that you might notice is that you will rapidly loose mana, both the wisps and the boss drain mana. The wisps will also take a large mana chunk from everyone within melee range, when they die. After the shields are down the wisps and the boss should be dealt with ranged attacks.

However, what makes this boss strong, also creates a glaring weakness. The boss usually can't cover the entire map, while moving in to attack, so if you stay at the edge of the map, your only concern are the summoned wisps. This provides an opportunity to use map wide spells, like lightning storm, meteor storm and worlds end to deal damage, with no casualties. Furthermore, the tile that the boss ends its turn depends on where your units stand, in essence you can make her be in one spot by not moving yourself. This creates an exploit with lava tiles, it takes a while, but you can burn the boss easily.

Upon defeat the boss drops her species egg, a magic amulet, money and several common to rare items. Also it should be noted, that any boss fusion or offspring loose the giant trait, so if you wish to obtain a boss in all its glory you need to capture them. The kitsune, as a unit, makes an excellent scout and combat mage with her lightning storm skill and the ability to use wisps, to regain massive amounts of mana. Wish sufficiently high enough magic Wisp casters can fully restore their mana by spawning 7 wisps next to each other and then detonating them all.
