A few key mechanics should be known, when making a spectre. When a possessed unit dies, the entire party has its mana is drained. The spectre itself will start its first turn with 2 ap. It should be noted, that creatures and spirits can also turn into spectres. When a unit turns, it doesn't change for the most part. The key changes are they can now fly, drop in speed, their current level becomes their max level and their max morale is cut in half. Some of these penalties can be mitigated by breeding, fighting bosses or level increasing potions. Spectres make good mages as they have one of the highest magic growth multipliers and the highest for mana. Produces ectoplasm.
