Catgirls are a seduction focused species capable of melee combat.

A melee/seduction species. Though their stats aren't great, they make use of all of them, and their mix of abilities more than compensate. Despite their Seduction Level Type, they can actually hold their own against Creatures as they don't rely entirely on Lust Damage.
They can attack and seduce simultaneously with StrongPheromones as long as they have the Mana for it. Once they run out, they can back out and seduce the enemy at range, backed by SexAffinity.
With fixed Jump and Claws, they can throw in a surprising amount of damage via lust-lock and Bleeding. With their great Speed, they can easily get in position for a MassSeduction before moving away with Dodge, or even chain Drain and Dominate to put permanent LustGain on an enemy.
DrainLust might seem like a terrible option, especially with their low Lust Resistance, but since they can Heal onGettingFucked they have nothing to lose. This allows them to reduce the lust levels of a key party member, like a tank, without the debuff that comes with fucking. Though mind the fact that it uses the CatGirl's own Magic, which isn't very high, and the one doing the fucking needs to use Energy, something that's not mentioned in the description.
In short, you can equip just about anything on a CatGirl and make it work. This means you can focus on equipping other members of your party. If you don't have a full party yet, it's not a bad idea to slot in a temporary CatGirl to round out your numbers.
