Decent front line combat and support/healer species.

They make excellent scouts with both Heightened Sense and Magic Vision, each of which give +1 to vision. Add Eagle Eyed to the mix and they have unmatched sight, making portal explorations a breeze.
In 0.23.0.0 they were given the glowing special trait which eliminates sight penalties from darkness and other sources in the overworld.
