The Light Tanid is a magic unit with max Magic growth, at the cost of Mana growth.
Strategies
Combat
Benefits heavily from mana increasing Traits. Alternatively you can give it the Telekinesis trait to make it a melee unit, so the awful mana pool isn't a problem anymore.
Overworld
Breeding
Incredibly low Fertility/Virility makes them dismal at Breeding.
