The Unicorns has good magic, mobility, and various buff skills to support party members on combat; Also, their average HP and strength (for support characters) mean that they are not completely defenseless if engaged by enemy units.

Strategies

Combat

Unicorns act as a force multiplier on combat, a force multiplier that, thanks to their above-average HP and Strength (for support breeds), can easily survive on its own until friendly support arrives, if engaged.

Their set of support skills are mainly focused on buffing friendly units offensive capabilities such as:

  • Buffing the unit strength to enhance damage (Strengthen);
  • Allowing a unit already engaged in combat to retain their 2 action points for a couple of turns (Focus), making it possible to either strike twice or retreating more efficiently;
  • Donating an AP to a friendly unit for a turn (Invigorate).

Unicorns also have a couple of skills to help with self-preservation if engaged:

  • "Teleport" allows them to teleport themselves to an empty tile to either get close to the front-line or withdrawing out of trouble, with the added bonus that, if the Unicorn has a magic rating of at least 7, the teleport will grant a shield for 1 turn.
  • "Aegis" grants the caster a shield for 1 turn, two turns if the magic rating of the caster is at least 7.

Unicorns cannot have all of their possible skills at one, forcing you to choose between 3 of them.

Their "ManaDrain on Attack" can also prevent and enemy unit from using their own skills.

Overworld

Unicorns do not have notable skills to help during overworld navigation.

Breeding

While Unicorns have average virility, their fertility suffers from their Lymean heritage, making the impregnation progress arduous.

Moneymaking

Their beauty is average, meaning that brothel work is not very lucrative for them.

Notes

Unicorns have slightly smaller semen production and greater milk production, compared to purebred Centaurs, making them a generally better choice for the milking market.
