The Mantis can be a dangerous foe. The unit is very mobile due to its fixed 0 AP skill "Long jump". This, alongside its high strength stat and its fixed "Slice" skill means, that the Mantis can take out several units at once and fast. Try to exploit its low health stat and defeat it as quickly as possible. If you can't get close enough, see if you can take advantage of its "Bad anatomy" trait, which makes it weak to seduction.
