A final evolution of an Ice Spirit. They can be evolved from Ice Balls, gaining a size in the process. Alternatively they can be captured in tundra portals or snowy weather.
They can be evolved into four different types:
Level Type | Learned Skills |
---|---|
Magic | IceBeam |
Magic | FrostNova |
Strength | Ram |
Support | GreaterHeal |
These Elites are potent initiators in battle with their combination of flying and charging movement, hitting multiple units with their pierce attacks. With their high Stat Growths (particularly in Magic) they are very powerful in combat, especially since they can be upsized for more power without interfering with your Overworld movement. With Magic Vision for increased sight as well there's few reasons not to have one in your party.
However do note that despite the fact that they fly and are a mount, they are not Air Mounts. If you wish to use them as Air Mounts you'll have to get them the Floating trait. Flight Potions have no effect as they already fly. Since Floating reduces Mana, evolving a Strength Type is recommended for that purpose.
Ice can be very useful with certain conditions. The ability to freeze your enemy for a turn can be team saving, when facing off solo enormous or boss encounters.
